What qualifications are needed to work for Ambition24direct?

Requirements depend on the role. Registered nurses must hold a current NMC PIN and be registered in the relevant part of the register (e.g., RGN, RMN, RNLD, RN Child). Healthcare assistants need relevant care qualifications or demonstrable experience. All candidates must have the right to work in the UK, pass an enhanced DBS check, and complete mandatory training.

Ambition24direct recruits nationally on a continual basis and welcomes applications from qualified professionals at all levels - from newly qualified nurses to experienced specialist practitioners.

How long does the registration process take?

The registration process typically takes 2-4 weeks from initial application to being cleared to work. The main variable is how quickly documentation is provided and DBS checks are completed. To speed things up, have your identification, NMC certificate (if applicable), references, and employment history ready when you apply.

What is the Staffshift Compliance Passport?

The Staffshift Compliance Passport is a digital system that tracks and verifies all compliance documentation for every healthcare professional. The passport includes identity verification, DBS details and ongoing monitoring, professional registration, qualifications, references, occupational health clearance, right to work documentation, and mandatory training records.

The system also highlights opportunities for agency staff to enhance their eligibility for a wider range of shifts by identifying any gaps in training or documentation that can be addressed.

What professional registrations must nurses maintain?

All registered nurses working with Ambition24direct must maintain current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). This includes:
