MS Care at Home
Multiple Sclerosis affects people in profoundly different ways. For some, care needs remain modest for years. For others — particularly those with secondary or primary progressive MS — the condition creates significant clinical dependency requiring skilled nursing input.
Ambition24direct supports people with MS across the clinical spectrum — from complex catheter and bowel management to high-dependency care packages for individuals who are fully bed-based or require PEG feeding and ventilatory support. We build packages that flex as the condition changes, without the disruption of switching providers.
MS types we support:
Relapsing-Remitting MS (RRMS)
Secondary Progressive MS (SPMS)
Primary Progressive MS (PPMS)
Clinically Isolated Syndrome (CIS) with complex needs
Highly active or rapidly evolving MS
CHC-funded MS packages: Progressive MS with significant clinical needs frequently meets the threshold for NHS Continuing Healthcare. We work with ICBs and MS specialist nurses to support CHC assessments. Call our clinical team to discuss.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. During a relapse, care needs can increase significantly and quickly. We can rapidly increase package hours or introduce new clinical interventions to manage a relapse at home — reducing the likelihood of hospital admission. Call our clinical team on 0330 678 3014 to discuss an urgent increase in support.
-
It can — particularly secondary and primary progressive MS where the clinical picture includes significant nursing needs such as catheter management, bowel programmes, pressure care, or enteral feeding. The CHC assessment considers the nature, intensity, complexity, and unpredictability of needs. We can provide clinical documentation to support a CHC application.
-
Yes — and this is one of our key strengths for MS. We design packages that can scale without the individual having to change providers. As needs increase, we add clinical hours, introduce new interventions, or move from visiting care to live-in or 24-hour shift nursing — without disrupting the care team the individual knows and trusts.
-
Yes. Bladder dysfunction is extremely common in MS. We manage urethral catheters, suprapubic catheters, and can support intermittent catheterisation programmes — working alongside continence nurses and urology teams to keep catheter management safe and comfortable at home.
