You can then book an appointment for an initial assessment. Once you've booked, at the agreed appointment time a qualified nurse will visit you at home – or the patient, if it is not you - for an initial assessment of care needs. You'll then receive a telephone call within 24 hours to agree a schedule of visits by a care giver or nurse, if you decide to go ahead.
